ScanGaugeII

A ScanGaugeII is an integrated Trip Computer providing real time feedback while simultaneously tracking multiple sets of trip data. The Digital Gauges give you real time data for your vehicle and the built-in Scan Tool allows you to read trouble codes and diagnose potentially expensive problems before they get out of hand.

The top picture shows a ScanGaugeII. The pictures below it on the left are an OBDII (on board diagnostics II) plug supplied by vehicle manufacturers (All cars built since January 1, 1996 have OBD-II systems.) in a typical location under the dashboard near the steering column, next a close up view of the vehicle's OBDII connection plug, then a picture of the ScanGaugeII supplied cable (one end has a male OBDII connection and the other has a RJ45 plug for connection to the side or back of the ScanGaugeII instrument).

The pictures below it on the right are an example of an installed view, and a picture showing dimensions to assist in deciding on a location for mounting or storage on your specific vehicle. Double sided tape with velcro attached is also supplied in aiding attachment. Specific installation method or location is up to user preference.

• If your boat's engine has an OBDII connection (plug) installed, a ScanGaugeII may be used very effectively to monitor, verify (back up), and adjust many functions, electronics, and engine instruments. Some great examples are Fuel Flow, RPM, Temperatures, Pressures, Voltage, ...

• View causes (codes) that bring on "Check Engine Light" without making or paying an expensive trip to a Dealership just to know what is wrong. It may be something as simple as the gas cap was left open. After the problem is solved or for diagnostic checks, the ScanGaugeII is able to clear (reset) the check engine light.
